Grand Center, Inc. Appoints Peg Weathers as New President and CEO

Grand Center, Inc., a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement and development of the Grand Center Arts District, is pleased to announce the appointment of Peg Weathers as its new President and CEO. Weathers, a highly respected civic affairs, nonprofit, and community relations professional with a proven track record of success, will assume her role on October 23, 2023.

Weathers brings a wealth of experience and expertise in organizational management, issue advocacy, cooperative leadership, and political affairs to her new position. Her career accomplishments reflect her dedication to community betterment and strategic leadership.

During her tenure as President/CEO of the Kirkwood – Des Peres Area Chamber of Commerce, Weathers achieved remarkable results, driving the organization to its most financially profitable in years, sizably increasing membership, and spearheading cross-state advocacy efforts to re-instate Amtrak’s second daily train. Weathers also served as an Assistant Vice President at Saint Louis University, where she played a pivotal role in securing significant sponsorships, including partnering with Global Hack to host a $1 million hack-a-thon purse.

At Grand Center, Inc., Weathers previously held the position of Executive Vice President, where she conceived and managed key initiatives, such as the initial elements of the Grand Center Tax Increment Finance District and the Grand Center Community Improvement District, which garnered widespread support.

Weathers holds a Bachelor’s degree in communications and a Master’s in Radio, TV, and Film from the University of Missouri–Columbia.
