Grand Center Inc. is proud to announce the 1st Annual Taste of Grand Center event on Saturday, July 10th, from 11am – 2pm, beginning in Strauss Park in the Grand Center Arts District. This event was created as a chance to give local restaurants a boost and give our entire community a safe and healthy way to come together after a challenging year.
“Taste of Grand Center is a one-day food extravaganza event open to the public,” says Will Strang, Community Engagement Manager at grand Center Inc. “We are excited to welcome visitors to the District to taste the incredible flavors Grand Center has to offer.”
The event kicks off in Strauss Park, with live music by Farshid Etniko Duo. Visitors will make their way to seven participating restaurants including, Urban Chestnut Brewing Company, Vito’s, Gary’s Fine Dining, Field House, Turn, Best Steak House, and Angad Arts Hotel. Between eating food bites and enjoying the music, visitors can stroll through the District and view the dozens of public art installations located throughout Grand Center. From murals to sculptures, you’re sure to find something spectacular.
“It was important to us to highlight the restaurants that make Grand Center not only a destination for the arts, but also for food,” said Rich Simmons, Executive Director at Grand Center Inc. “We can’t wait to watch people gather in the District and celebrate these establishments.”
Every vendor offers small “taste” portions of food, cocktails, or beer, which gives visitors a perfect way to sample from many different Grand Center restaurants. Visitors will purchase tickets online and pick up their tasting passports in Strauss Park on the day of the event. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased online at https://www.grandcenter.org/event/taste/. A limited number of passes are also available for purchase on the day of the event in Strauss Park.
